Kolkata - Manas - Guwahati - Kaziranga - Sundarbans

Day 1 : ARRIVE KOLKATA
Arrive Kolkata - meet and transfer to hotel.
Overnight : Hotel in Kolkata

Day 2 : KOLKATA - GUWAHATI - MANAS
After breakfast transfer to airport for flight
1045 hrs : Depart by IT 431 (Kingfisher Airlines) to Guwahati
1155 hrs: Arrive Guwahati – meet & transfer to Manas Wildlife Park (230 kms approx. 5 hrs) En-route lunch or packed lunch on way.
Bordering Bhutan, Manas is an absolutely spellbinding place. As it emerges from the jungle covered foothills, the snow fed river has the reputation of being one of the best mahseer fishing grounds in the country. The wild game that can be viewed here is the tiger, wild elephant, rare hisbid hare and the pigmy hog, swamp deer, and clouded leopard besides varieties of the langur.  Wildlife viewing is done on elephant back and by boat The rich bird life includes egrets, herons, storks, fish  eating eagles and the  grey  pelicans

Day 3 : MANAS WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
Early morning Elephant ride for an hour.
Breakfast at hotel.
After lunch jeep safari to the core area of the park.
Overnight : Jungle Lodge

Day 4 : MANAS WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
After breakfast visit local village.
After lunch jeep safari to the core area of the park.
Overnight : Jungle Lodge

Day 5 : MANAS - GUWAHATI
In the morning Jeep Safari to the core area of the park.
After breakfast drive to Guwahati (5 hrs.)
On arrival check into hotel, rest of the day at leisure

Day 6 : GUWAHATI - KAZIRANGA
After breakfast drive to Kaziranga (225 kms / 4 ½ hrs drive).
Lunch on arrival at Kaziranga.
After Lunch Jeep Safari to Central Range of the park.  Is an ideal introduction to the park and its ecology as the route passes through the entire spectrum of habitat types prevalent in the area. There is a possibility of sighting elephants as well as the other mega herbivores such as the one horned rhino, wild buffalo, wild elephants and many water birds. It is the yarding place of Swamp Deer.

Day 7 : KAZIRANGA
Early morning take a safari on Elephant back in the Park
After early breakfast Jeep Safari to Eastern Range of the Park to sight the one-horned Rhinoceros, wild water buffalo and the migratory waterfowls in the lake.
Return for lunch.
After lunch Jeep Safari to Western Range where you probably get the best chance to see the Raptors.
Overnight : Jungle Lodge

Day 8 : KAZIRANGA
After breakfast excursion to Brahmaputra (Bhomuraguri bank) one and half hour ride by car, boat ride to Bhorelli confluence to watch river dolphins.
Picinc lunch.
Return to Kaziranga.
Overnight : Jungle Lodge

Day 9 : KAZIRANGA - JORHAT - KOLKATA
After breakfast drive to Jorhat (3 hrs) to catch flight.
1515 hrs : Depart by 9W 624 (Jet Airways) to Kolkata.
1640 hrs : Arrive Kolkata – meet & transfer to Hotel.
Overnight: Hotel in Kolkata

Day 10 : KOLKATA - SUNDERBANS
After an early breakfast drive to Sonakhali (5 to 6 hrs.) to board semi-luxurious boat to Sundarban Tiger Reserve.
The Sundarbans covers some 10,000 square kilometers of land and water (more than half of it in India, the rest in Bangladesh) in the Ganges Delta - it is the world's largest area of mangrove forest. The national park in India which was declared a Biosphere Reserve in 1989 covers an area of around 2,500 square kilometers. The region is intersected by a complex network of tidal waterways and mudflats. There are numerous bird species which reside here, as well as crocodiles, turtles, snakes and deer. Its most famous resident however is the Tiger of which there are thought to be some 400 or so.

Day 11 : SUNDARBANS
This morning we will cruise to Sajnekhali watchtower for a panoramic view of the forest as also some of the creeks and water holes of Sunderbans. We will anchor the boat for the day after spending some time at the watchtower. Evening is at leisure

Day 12 : SUNDARBANS - KOLKATA
After a cruise in the morning in search of birds and mammals, we will cruise back to Sonakhali. On arrival at Sonakhali jetty, we will transfer by road to Kolkata.

Day 13 : DEPARTURE KOLKATA
Transfer to International airport for flight back home.
